The Philippine Register of Shipping, Inc. (PRS) is a non-governmental, non-stock, non-profit and independent technical organization established and committed to enhance and promote the safety of life and property at sea and the protection of the marine environment.
PRS is the only Filipino Ship Classification Society with the latest Quality Management System (QMS) Certified Compliant to International Standards.
We provide the necessary skills and technical support to improve and maximize our client's responsibility on ship safety and marine environmental protection.
We do this service in accordance with an ISO-certified quality management system. Initially certified under ISO 9001:2000 quality assurance standards, PRS has upgraded this to the latest ISO 9001:2008 standards.
Our systematic approach and commitment to excellence in delivering our services from the vessel's design stage and construction to operation give our clients the needed moral reassurance that they are operating a safe ship. We are duly accredited by the Maritime Industry Authority and recognized by the maritime community through their continued patronage.
Our income derived from fees from the survey and classification of ships and other marine structures is used solely for the performance and improvement of our services to the satisfaction of our clients and the government.
